Powis Castle
This fine castle was originally built by the Welsh princes c.1200 and is now home to the Earls of Powis.
There is a world famous garden with Italianate terraces and woodland walks. The castle hosts one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales. There is a beautiful collection of treasures from India in the Clive Museum (Clive of India).
This attraction can be easily visited whilst staying in the Conwy Valley, and is 41 miles (65 km) from Betws-y-Coed as the crow flies (straight line distance). See the routeplanner below for a suggested route and estimated journey time.
