National Slate Museum
Set in the workshops of the old Dinorwig Quarry this slate museum brings the world of slate quarrying to life with fascinating displays and live demonstrations. This living museum leaves the impression that the quarrymen have just left at the end of their long and hard working day.
This attraction can be easily visited whilst staying in the Conwy Valley, and is 13 miles (21 km) from Betws-y-Coed as the crow flies (straight line distance). See the routeplanner below for a suggested route and estimated journey time.
